The open national meeting «Main Causes of Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Kyrgyzstan» is an important event organized by national and international organizations, as well as government structures of Kyrgyzstan.
The event is intended to draw attention to the serious problem of deforestation and forest-land degradation in the country.
The following issues are addressed at the meeting:
1. Assessment of the state of forest resources: analysis of the current state of forests, their level of preservation, and trends in the loss of forested areas.
2. Identification of the causes of deforestation: identifying factors, including poor harvests, illegal logging, insufficient forest management, and climate change, that lead to deforestation and forest degradation.
3. Development of strategies and solutions: discussing possible measures and strategies to prevent forest degradation, restore forest resources, and ensure sustainable forest management.
4. Participation of all stakeholders: involving representatives of government, local communities, environmental organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure broad discussion and joint development of solutions.
The open national meeting aims to shape public awareness and mobilize efforts to solve the problem of deforestation and degradation of forest ecosystems in Kyrgyzstan, as well as to find ways toward sustainable management and conservation of the country’s forest resources.
