The Program for the Introduction of Sustainable Environmental Management Technologies was developed and launched in 2005 in Kyrgyzstan. The program’s main goal was to popularize and put into practice methods and technologies that promote the sustainable use of natural resources and agricultural practices.
The program included a number of educational programs, among which the following stood out:
«Agriculture and SD»: this educational program was developed for agricultural workers and farmers. It included training in sustainable farming methods, such as agricultural practices that do not destroy soil and natural ecosystems and help preserve biodiversity.
«Sustainable Tourism»: this program was aimed at workers in the tourism and entertainment sector. It included training in methods and practices of sustainable tourism aimed at minimizing the negative impact of tourism activities on the environment and cultural heritage.
The goal of these educational programs was to train specialists and practitioners capable of managing natural resources and agriculture in accordance with the principles of sustainable development and environmental conservation.
