Chairman of the Council of the Environmental Movement “BIOM” Vladimir Korotenko participated in the 6th Forum of Civil Society EU – Central Asia, which took place on February 5-6 in Bishkek.
As part of the thematic working group on climate change and the environment, Vladimir Korotenko served as a regional expert. In his speech, he highlighted the systemic ecological challenges faced by Central Asian countries and emphasized the important role of civil society in seeking practical solutions.
Particular attention was paid to the participation of civil society organizations in shaping climate policy, regional coordination, and transforming expert dialogue into concrete mechanisms and joint actions.
The forum brought together representatives of civil society organizations from Central Asian countries, institutions of the European Union, and international partners, and became a platform for discussing issues of sustainable development, climate change, and regional cooperation.
