The Ministry of Energy and Industry has developed a new program for energy resource conservation. This was reported by the minister’s advisor Marat Cholponkulov.
The document, according to the official, has been coordinated with state and municipal structures.
“The task has been set – to reduce electricity consumption by at least 5% within the next three years,” Cholponkulov specified.
It is planned to create an educational-analytical center under the ministry, which will promote state energy conservation policy. The official assures that additional funding from the state budget will not be needed for this.
“After the program is approved by the government, the first thing we will do is an energy audit. It is necessary to check all major consumers for possible reductions in their electricity needs. We will identify reserves,” Cholponkulov plans.
