Dear friends and colleagues!
the “Jashyl Klimat” project, implemented with the support of the European Union by the environmental organisations BIOM and GLIP, in partnership with the Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature and WWF, has the honour to invite representatives of civil society organisations and young people of Kyrgyzstan to take part in the Strategic meeting of the European ECO Forum.
Representatives of civil society from the European region will take part in the meeting. The meeting will be held ahead of the 9th Conference of Environment Ministers of the European region, on 5–7 October in Nicosia. The two main themes of the Conference are “Greening the economy in the pan-European region: working towards sustainable infrastructure” and “Applying the principles of the circular economy to sustainable tourism”; issues of Education for sustainable development and others will also be considered
The Forum will consider and discuss such questions as: what are the main achievements and challenges of the “Environment for Europe” process; a presentation of what is on the agenda — infrastructure, tourism, the ministerial declaration, ESD and so on; a presentation of the formats of work in small groups — leaders, participants, what is expected of them, and much more.
The meeting will be held online on 29 September 2022 from 15:00 to 20:00 (Bishkek time). Russian–English interpretation will be provided.
