The team of the “Jashyl Klimat” project took part in the monitoring meeting of the mission to Kyrgyzstan assessing the implementation of 27 conventions and compliance with GSP+ requirements
Discussions were held on environmental protection and climate change in the country. Organisations spoke about the challenges they have faced and the steps they are taking to address these difficulties. The work of our project is precisely about strengthening the resilience of young people to the impacts of climate change.
Questions were raised about the poor awareness of the conventions, and here the “Jashyl Klimat” project put forward its own ideas for building capacity and awareness of the conventions and for drawing the attention of young people and women to meaningful decision-making. It proposed training and education on climate change in the interests of sustainable development.
