A series of publications for teachers, schoolchildren and young people

Representatives of the Ecological Movement “BIOM” and leading national experts, with the support of the European Union European Union in Kyrgyzstan European Commission and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Central Asia have developed a series of publications for teachers, schoolchildren, young people and all interested parties: “Safety Lessons” and “Youth participation in environmentally significant decision-making”.
🧑‍💼These publications draw on the principles of Education for Sustainable Development and “green skills” developed by world science and practice, and describe the mechanisms for building the personal and social competences needed for self-realisation, safety, a healthy lifestyle, social integration and more. The key idea of youth participation underlying the publications is to give young people the opportunity to influence all matters that concern their lives, including the environment and safety. Young people can exercise this influence both through taking part in decision-making together with local authorities and politicians, and through their own initiatives that have an impact on life around them.
Additional print runs of the publications (2nd revised edition) were supported by the Central Asian office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation
Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Central Asia
Also, within the project “#JashylKlimat”, funded by the European Union, these publications and other thematic information materials are being distributed as part of the information campaign “Make your contribution to protecting the climate: together we can do more!” for young people in all regions of the Kyrgyz Republic.
