A School Safety Standard has been adopted in Kyrgyzstan

On June 19, 2019, a press conference on school space safety was held at the “KABAR” news agency press center, with the participation of Nadira Dzhusupbekova, Deputy Minister of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Throughout 2018-2019, as part of the project “Developing financing mechanisms for a safe school educational environment in the KR”, implemented by the BIOM Ecological Movement and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of the KR with the financial support of the European Union, work was carried out to develop a policy for creating a safe environment and tools for its implementation.

To ensure a modern, safe educational environment, it was necessary to amend a number of regulatory legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic. To give all the amendments regulatory legal status, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic adopted a resolution “On amending certain decisions of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to improve the safety of the educational environment in general education organizations”.
