The project “Energy Efficiency for a Sustainable Future” is implemented as part of the “Clean Energy” Program, which aims to promote the development of a sustainable energy sector, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, decrease environmental impact, improve living conditions, and disseminate ideas of sustainable energy and energy-saving methods in society.

Project goal: to promote ideas of energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources at the local and state levels, in order to develop environmentally clean energy, preserve biodiversity, and improve the quality of life of local communities.

The Program was initiated by the Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature with financial support from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is implemented by the Network of National Environmental Public Organizations in 5 countries: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. In Kyrgyzstan, the Program’s National Coordinator is the Environmental Movement “BIOM.”
