The project’s goal was to conduct independent monitoring to assess the implementation of the expanded programme of work on forest biological diversity in Kyrgyzstan. This project aimed to evaluate and monitor activities carried out as part of the forest ecosystem biodiversity conservation programme.

1. Independent monitoring: the project included conducting independent monitoring, during which observers and environmental experts tracked the progress and results of the implementation of the forest biodiversity programme of work.
2. Programme assessment: the project conducted a detailed assessment of the programme’s effectiveness and compliance with the stated goals and standards for biodiversity conservation.
3. Data collection and analysis: observers collected data on the state of forest ecosystems, species composition, and other biodiversity indicators, and analyzed the results obtained.
4. Recommendations and programme improvement: based on the monitoring results, recommendations and proposals were formulated for improving the forest biodiversity programme of work.
5. Reporting and dissemination: the project also included the preparation and publication of reports on the monitoring results, which were used to inform stakeholders and the general public.
