The mountain spruce forests of the Tian Shan are separated by many hundreds of kilometers from the main tracts of Siberian dark-coniferous taiga, yet they share many similar features in the structure of their bird fauna. The book is devoted to an ecological-geographic analysis of the avifauna of mountain spruce forests.
