Women Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic are raising issues of water, sanitation, and hygiene in the villages and schools of Chui and Issyk-Kul regions.
On May 22-23, MPs Sasikbaev A.A., Altybaeva A.T., Jumalieva E.B., Imanalieva E.S., and Imankozhoeva E.B. together with representatives of the Department of Public Health and Social Development, the Alliance of Women’s Legislative Initiatives, UNICEF, and the Environmental Movement BIOM, visited Chui and Issyk-Kul regions to study the situation regarding access to water and the provision of sanitation and hygiene conditions in villages, kindergartens, and schools. The organization and conduct of meetings involved staff from the public association "Alga" and the Kyrgyz Alliance for Water and Sanitation.
